Websites

Websites that earn their keep.

Every project here is written up the same way, and it ends with what actually changed afterwards. That last part is the one most freelance sites leave out.

Selected projects

01

Ember8 ember8.nl

Live — first large project

  • WhoTrauma release therapy and breathwork coaching, based in the Netherlands. Works with individuals and with teams inside organisations.
  • What it neededTo be found and read in two languages, to get people as far as booking a first session, and to carry the disclaimers a health practice has to carry without those pages feeling like a warning.
  • What I builtA hand-written static site, no CMS to be taught. Every page in Dutch and English, a booking route, and the legal set — terms, medical disclaimer, privacy. Umami for analytics.
  • What happenedUmami has been recording since launch. Pull bookings and enquiries for the first six months and this line writes itself.
  • Built withPlain HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No framework.
  • They saidWorth asking for one sentence, attributed.

Aura Hygiene & Facilities Group

Ongoing

  • WhoEvent, stadium and commercial cleaning across the UK, working at full-venue scale.
  • What it neededTo read like an operator a stadium would trust with a full house, and to put the accreditations where a procurement team looks first.
  • What I builtIn progress — home, about and contact are up, accreditations section in place. Describe the decisions once the build settles.
  • What happenedToo early. Agree with them now what gets measured, so there is a number to report later.
  • Built withPlain HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

  • What happenedThree is the number that reads as a practice rather than a portfolio. Pick the one with the best outcome, not the prettiest design.

Games

Made for evenings.

Footage first, promises second. Nothing goes on this page that can't be shown moving.

Articles — footage slot Twenty seconds of Articles, above the fold, autoplaying, muted, looping. This slot is the whole page — everything below it is caption.

Articles

A visual novel, in development. One line here on what it actually is — the setting, the choice the player keeps making, and the feeling. Not a plot synopsis.

Honest status

A player who reads a release date that slips remembers the slip. A player who reads "in development, follow here" and then gets a devlog every month remembers the studio. Say less, then keep to it.
